1. Alfred Stieglitz was a photographer, but he was also a writer. He stated with photography and then started to write about photography for a magazine. Later he ended up running a photography magazine called Camera Work.

2. The photograph Spring Showers, The Coach is my favorite of his because I like that it is kind of a random picture and he was probably out and about when he took it because it doesn't look staged and I like the water overflowing on the street. This reminds me of the fall my favorite season.



                                                                                                       
3. His wife was Georgia O;keeffe she was a painter.

Web Assignment #3 - Brownie Camera

1. The Brownie Camera is a box camera made of cardboard which has a meniscus lens at one end and film at the other.

2. The Brownie Camera was invented in Febuary 1900 by Eastman Kodak.

3. This camera was supposed to be the basic easy camera that everybody could use and afford.

Nicephore Niepce

A.

  1. Fought in the French Revolution 
  2. Real name was Joseph but later changed it to Nicephore after a saint. 
  3. His father was a lawyer. 
B. He was known for the View from the window at Le Gras. 

C. This was the first know picture ever to be taken. 

D. It was taken from the upstairs window of his house in Saint-Loop-De-Varennes. 

E. The exposure took 8 hours. 

F. It was taken in 1826. 

EC. The photo is displayed at Reiss-Engelhorn which is in Mannheim Germany in an exhibit called The Birth of Photography.
